Explore patterns, fashion, design and colour.
Understand old pattern terminology. Convert written patterns into charts. Analyse vintage yarn. View a vast range of vintage patterns and explore options for making them fit today's figure and fashion.
Tutor: Barbara has a dressmaking and teaching background plus a vast collection of pattern books.

Design a Shadow Knit: WS5
This workshop is for knitters who know how to knit shadow weave patterns and who want to move onto designing their own. We will chart shadow knitting patterns using graph paper. This will be either converting a knitting or cross stitch chart for shadow knitting or charting a pattern from a simple picture, or something like a leaf.
Tutor: Iris Horoch who is fascinated by shadow weave. She is an enthusiastic, skilled teacher.
When: Sunday, July 27
Materials fee: $5
Skill level: Must know how to shadow knit

Cut off date for bookings: July 10, except for A Weaving Experience when the cut off date will be: June 19
Cost: Members $70 per day, non members $85 per day unless otherwise stated.
Time: 9.30am to 4.00pm
Where: Guild rooms upstairs at the back of the hall behind St Paul's church, 205 Burwood Rd, Burwood or in the small hall at the foot of the stairs to the Guild rooms, both air-conditioned.
